Why Wait?

Did you know that the average American spends 35 minutes each day on Facebook. Just imagine if every American spent that 35 minutes on exercise, walking, swimming or hiking instead?

We are grateful to have helped hundreds of people over the years.

But there have been people who we have not been able to help. I believe that there are 3 main reasons people believe keep them from taking control of their health and wellness.

Schedule: I can’t find the time to workout or eat better or even just be more active. We all lead busy lives and time is precious.

Finances: Budgeting isn’t easy and it’s often hard to find a way to pay for something else.

Motivation: After a long day at work, it’s hard not to just want to come home and relax on the couch watching netflix or catch up on facebook. The truth is that these are not reasons, they are excuses.

Sounds harsh, but if we accept that these are just excuses we can move on, take some action and live a longer and healthier life. Let’s walk through each excuse and beat them!

Schedule: Time is valuable. Working out and eating well does take time. But if you don’t make the time now, you will have to give the time later. There are numerous studies showing the positive effect nutrition and exercise have on life expectancy and quality of life. Even if you start with 20 minutes a day, 3 times a week, you can make a big difference in your health. The average American spends 35 minutes a day on Facebook. My challenge to you is to start with 20 minutes per day, and work your way up from there. What if everyone replaced their Facebook time with a brisk walk or a workout? Just imagine!

Finances: We talk with many people that can’t afford to pay for a gym, or time with a Personal Trainer. So if you simply don’t make enough or can’t find it in your budget, then you do it for free. You can find tons of free workouts on the internet. Your sidewalk doesn’t charge you to run on it. Your house doesn’t have a membership fee. Yes, you can budget and upgrade to get help with movements, accountability and motivation, and we encourage this, but you don’t need that to start.

Motivation: How do you become motivated? Truth. If you don’t take care of yourself, you could likely die early. Statistically, not eating well and not working out raises your risks for life threatening illnesses and diseases drastically. If you need more help, find a friend who can keep you accountable – the best is if you can workout together. Join a gym to add even more motivation. Find a Coach who understands you and cares about you.

It’s tough to deal with the truth of excuses, but you can handle it. And, you can make a difference. You don’t have to stay unhealthy. Do something about it on your own or with our help!
