The Why Behind the Workout

There are so many workouts out there on social media. Heck, you can even make up your own workouts. 

There is also a ton of medical advice on google. But I’ll still go to my Dr. who is trained professionally before I seek the advice of Dr. google. 

Professional Coach

A sign of a professional coach is that they can tell you the intention behind the workout. (Crushing it or destroying you is not a sufficient or intelligent answer.) 

A novice will typically see improvement (strength gains, weight loss, health improvements) from just about any random program. That is because they were doing nothing and now are doing something. A person who was sedentary will see great progress from simply walking and there is no need for a fancy walking program. 

Everyone enters our gym via 1-on-1 sessions with a private coach to learn our foundational movements, get assessed by the coach, and build a base that will set you up for success in either private training or our group classes. 

We log our workouts in an app. Once you have been training with us for a while, you begin to accumulate 1 rep max’s as well as benchmark workouts. Our coaches have access to this data in the app, and we can use this data to customize your experience, predict your progress, and plan for success. 

Our job as professional coaches is to create an intentional training plan for you based on your goals and abilities. 

Intentional is the key word.

Anyone can make up fun and grueling workouts. But what is the intention? What is the stimulus? Does that person know you and your abilities? 

Our professional coaches have healthcare, fitness, and nutrition backgrounds. We create our workouts based on education and experience. 

Within our program, we seek balance and improvement in the 10 general  physical skills:  strength, stamina, cardiovascular and respiratory endurance, flexibility, power, speed, balance, accuracy, coordination, and agility. 

This is what sets us apart. 

Constantly varied functional fitness. This means that we take an intentional approach to balance your training across all 10 physical skills mentioned above. We are constantly varying the exercises, the duration of the workout, the movement pattern, tempo, frequency…

It can seem random to the untrained eye.  This seemingly randomness is what makes our workouts fun! We train you to be prepared for anything.
